Toddler's Head Reattached After Car Accident

Jaxon Taylor is a 16 month old boy who suffered an internal decapitation after a high-speed car accident. Last month, Jaxon, his Mom and 9 year old sister collided with another car. The impact caused Jaxon's upper vertibrae to tear apart.

Brisbane surgeon Geoff Askin took care of the toddler as soon as he was airlifted to the hospital.

"A lot of children wouldn't survive that injury in the first place, and if they did and they were resuscitated they may never move or breathe again." Dr. Geoff Askin said.

After the 7-hour operation to fix Jaxon's neck, he will have to wear a neck brace for a few months to let his spine heal. As for now, he seems to be making a remarkable improvement despite what he has gone through.
