Just 2 months after being adopted, Haus proved his loyalty to the family when he protected 7-year old Molly DeLuca from a rattlesnake attack. At first, Molly and her grandma didn't realize what Haus was staring at until they saw all the blood coming from him.
Turns out, Haus has positioned himself between Molly and a rattlesnake in an attempt to save the child from possible attack.

Haus is currently recovering from the snake bites and venom that he received from what doctors believe to have come from an Eastern diamondback rattlesnake. It is one of the most dangerous rattlesnakes in North America.
The heroic dog received so much venom that instead of just getting a maximum of two doses of anti-venom, his doctors decided that he must receive a constant drip.
Haus was in a critical condition last Thursday, but is now expected to make full recovery.
The family commented that Haus' mindset helped him recover from the attack. The dog may be suffering from damaged kidneys and low red blood cells count, people around him believe that he can make it.

The family originally tried to raise $28,000 from the GoFundMe page, but a lot of people wanted to help that they reached over $52,000 today. DeLuca decided that they would donate some of the funds to Heidi's Legacy Rescue, the home where the family adopted Haus.
