5 Free Tools for Unfollowing on Twitter

Sometimes, those we follow on Twitter do not follow us back, and we are left with unbalanced number of followers and following. True, if you look at your profile and see thousands of following but only a few followers, it is normal to feel disappointed.

You can simply unfollow users by going to your Following tab and manually unfollowing those that you do not like. However, this sure takes a lot of time. Here, I will show you the 5 free tools for unfollowing on Twitter - these are used for unfollowing inactive users (those that haven’t been on Twitter for more than 3 months), as well as those that do not follow me back.

*Note: I do not use these tools to randomly unfollow people, especially my followers. Who wants to be unfollowed anyway when you just followed a user back? :(

1. Unfollowers.com | Unfollow limit: 100

This is the tool I’ve been using since I started on Twitter. Aside from unfollowing, you can also follow 50 users per day using Unfollowers.com. You can easily see the people who unfollowed you, people who follow you back, as well as those who you are not following but are following you. This feature is useful because you get to follow them back.

Why I recommend following your fans:
Simply because they might be using these tools as well. If they do, and they find out that you are not following them back, they can unfollow you soon.

Feature I love: Automate. This feature lets me automatically thank my new followers through Tweet or Direct message. This way, I can let them know that I will follow them back soon as I log in to Twitter.

2. Followfilter.com | Unfollow limit: 100

This tool is as simple as Unfollowers.com. What I love most about this website is that you can sort through your unfollowers and see who have the latest updates. This way, you can unfollow people who have recently logged into their Twitter but did not follow you back.

3. IUnfollow.com | Unfollow limit: 50

The site says that their unfollow limit is 75, but I can only unfollow 50 people per day. Unlike other similar websites, IUnfollow is easier to use because instead of clicking the unfollow button, you can just simply press U on the keyboard to unfollow the user on top of the list, or press S if you want to skip a user. How convenient!

4. CrowdFireApp.com | Unfollower limit: 100

I can say that this website is very similar to Unfollowers. However, what’s unique about this tool is that you can grow your followers by using their feature Copy Followers. This feature allows you to follow the followers of a certain user. Another feature I love is the Keyword Follow. You simply type in a keyword and when you click search, the website will show you the users who are in that niche. Not just that, you can also filter the location of those users!

5. ManageFlitter.com | Unfollower limit: 100

ManageFlitter is unique in many ways. This tool helps you schedule posts that will be published when most of your followers are online. You can connect your Facebook and LinkedIn account to send the same message to those platforms. You can also schedule a recurring content.

The tool has powerful sorting capabilities. You can sort through users who are “Talkative” or “Quiet”. This will help you unfollow users who you think are spamming your feed. “Influence” is also one of the best features of ManageFlitter. It shows you the users who have high and low influence.

Once you sign up on their website, you automatically have an affiliate link. (Click on Dashboard > Affiliate Program to see your link.)
